Situation Analysis
Our country lacks a great deal of audiovisual material for the scientific, historical and cultural research that is needed to fully back up the information available from libraries, television stations (terrestrial and cable), Internet and other communications media.
In the Dominican Republic, the existing information that is available for general use by the public, ranging from students at the simplest level up to the most exacting intellectual quality, is of very low quality and limited in quantity, with very few illustrations (which are in any case unattractive from an educational point of view), since it is mostly presented in textbook format or in newspaper and magazine articles that are difficult to compile, which makes the task of conducting research both lengthy and tedious.
